Polish 3D printer manufacturer 3DGence has introduced its latest 3D printer model, the dual extruder DOUBLE P255. The new 3D printer is based on The 3D printer is based on the original DOUBLE 3D printer that was released at the beginning of 2018.
Headquartered in the Department of Mechanics and Technology at Silesian university of Technology, 3DGence entered the market three years ago with its flagship 3D printer, the 3DGence ONE.
“One of the main design goals of 3DGence DOUBLE P255 was to create a reliable and versatile device. We have introduced a number of improvements to reduce the difficulty of using the printer,” said Filip Turzyński, the Quality Development Manager of 3DGence. “Enclosure ensures a stable working temperature and hotend design was optimized for longer continuous operation. User involvement in the calibration process has been minimized as much as possible.”
According to the company, 3DGence DOUBLE P255 is a professional device designed to create high-quality 3D prints with advanced geometry. It comew with a enclosure to ensure stable temperature, which helps improve the dimensional accuracy and quality of prints by keeping the temperature stable during 3D printing. In addition, the device also has new interchangeable hotends and an optimized cooling system.
3DGence DOUBLE P255 has a 190 x 255 x 195 mm working area. It is a dual extruder 3D printer and can print with two different materials, model and support – including water-soluble BVOH. “It is possible to obtain elements with a certain mobility by rinsing this filament in water,” says the company.
3DGence DOUBLE P255 has an recommended and open material base. Currently, ready-made material combinations are available in 3DGence Slicer software: PLA + BVOH, PET + BVOH, PP + HIPS, NYLON + HIPS, Smart ABS + HIPS. The device can also print with the flexible Fiberflex 40D. The 3DGence DOUBLE P255 has an end-of-filament sensor, which will stop the print job if it detects a lack of material. It also comes with a material flow control system for model printing supervision, and an extrusion quality measurement system, which monitors the quality of each 3D print.
The new 3DGence DOUBLE P255 includes quick change hotend system supported by a patented PUSH system, auto-calibration, dedicated electronics and stepper motor controls. The 3D printer’s easily replaceable ceramic build platform ensures good first layer adhesion and easy removal of the model once 3D printing is complete.
3DGence DOUBLE P255 has received the TÜV Rheinland certificate, which, according to the company, has confirmed “the repeatability and quality of production and safety of the device.”
The new 3DGence DOUBLE P255 printer will be on display at Formnext in Frankfurt from 13 – 16. 11. 2018.
